It’s a new year, and TV networks are resolving to either make your day by renewing your favorite show or ruin your month by canceling it. Either way, TV Guide will be here for you. There’s been some good news this January, like the fact that The Drew Barrymore Show isn’t going anywhere, and that Apple TV+ is renewing Slow Horses for Season 5. MTV has also renewed two of its reality series. But the early cancellations of the month are painful: Max announced back-to-back cancellations for Julia and Our Flag Means Death, while Starz has canceled Minx after previously saving it from the same fate at Max.

Whether you’re looking to celebrate more of your favorites or mourn the loss of something on your regular rotation, we’re keeping tabs on all the shows that have been canceled or renewed this month below.

Last month’s renewals and cancellations

  • Minx, Starz: This one stings: The ’70s-set comedy starring Jake Johnson and Ophelia Lovibond won’t return for Season 3 on Starz, which rescued Minx after its first cancellation (at Max). (Jan. 5, Deadline)
  • American Born Chinese, Disney+: Despite receiving generally positive reviews, American Born Chinese — based on Gene Luen Yang’s graphic novel of the same name — was canceled after one season. The Hollywood Reporter reports that producers will shop the series elsewhere. (Jan. 5, The Hollywood Reporter)
