Baldur’s Gate now has FSR 2.2
The company released a patch that adds temporal FSR support.
Move along FSR 1.0. One of the best games released this year, Baldur’s Gate 3 had a great debut even though it only offered FSR 1.0 and DLSS2 support at launch. Gamers familiar with the benefits and drawbacks of these technologies know how massive of an improvement can they be on some systems and what are the advantages of using 2.0 versions over spatial upscalers. As gamers anticipate more news on FSR3, the FSR 2.2 is now being added to more and more games. One of such gamers is Baldur’s Gate 3.
The game was updated with Patch 4, which incorporated a total of 1000 improvements. However, alongside these enhancements, gamers continued to express their desire for game optimizations. This included the implementation of performance-enhancing technologies like FSR2. Previously, the game exclusively featured DLSS2, which had restricted compatibility limited to NVIDIA RTX graphics cards.
Gamers, even those with low-budget systems or handheld gadgets, can now expect better visuals. The screenshot from PCGamer shows that the FSR 2.0 is a huge improvement over the FSR 1, which is a spatial upscaling technology.

At present, there is no information available regarding the upcoming Frame Generation support for the game. The game lacks DLSS3 support and there is no indication that it will support FSR3 at this point. However, Frame Generation has its limitations and may require beefier or more recent hardware architecture to show its benefits.
