South Carolina Highway Patrol says a child was killed in a crash in Laurens County.According to Master Trooper Gary Miller, it happened around 4:10 p.m. on Sunday.Troopers say a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling north on Chestnut Ridge Road, when they failed to yield right of way at a stop sign. The truck then hit the side of a 2020 Cadillac SUV that was traveling east on U.S. Route 76.Miller says the driver and two passengers of the Cadillac were transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital, but one of the passengers, who was a child, died on the scene.Troopers also say the driver of the Chevrolet was injured and transported to the hospital, and the passenger was not injured.No other information has been released at this time.
