Courteney Cox shared a touching tribute to her friend Suzanne Somers on Monday, just one day after she passed away at 76 years of age.

The 59-year-old actress took to Instagram on Monday – what would have been Somers’ 77th birthday.

Cox shared a 2022 video of her and Somers hanging out, while Courtney prepares some turkey burgers.

‘You’re gonna love these turkey burgers,’ Cox tells Somers in the video, as she responds, ‘I love them, I love them already, I love that you’re making them for us.’

As the video slowly pans back, it’s revealed that both Cox and Somers are using the Thighmaster – the thigh-shaping device that Somers promoted in the 1990s.

Cox captioned the video, ‘Today 76 years ago a wonderful human was born. Sadly yesterday, she passed away. Rest in peace my beautiful friend Suzanne.’

‘Here is Suzanne with me, doing what she loved most.. having fun! My heart goes out to Alan and the family,’ she said, referring to her husband of 46 years, Alan Hamel and their children.

Cox previously shared the video in early May 2022, which she captioned, ‘Cook and tone’ while tagging Somers.

Somers was also featured in a 2019 photo where she was celebrating the 4th of July with Cox, Jennifer Aniston and Laura Dern, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer and actress Amanda Anka.

Then in August 2019, Somers opened up about her friendship with Cox, revealing they’re both neighbors in Malibu.

‘Courteney is one of my neighbors in Malibu and she hosts these wonderful, wonderful Sunday dinners,’ Somers said.

‘They’re outside, we all sit around the fire pit and she’s got a chef in the outdoor kitchen that makes these incredible gluten-free pizzas and all these great vegetable salads and things,’ she added.

‘Courteney Cox is one of the great gatherers of people. She has people from all ages — really, really young to quite old and everything in between,’ Somers added.

Somers added that she enjoys passing on her wellness and anti-aging tips to Cox and her younger friends.

‘They’re at an age where they want to pick my brain about hormones and everything. I love all those girls. I love them,’ Somers said.

Somers was best known for starring in two hit sitcoms – Three’s Company – which ran eight seasons from 1977 to 1984, and Step By Step, which ran seven seasons from 1991 to 1998.

She also wrote a number of different books, including two autobiographies, four diet books and a book of poetry.
