Dhanush’s latest flick Captain Miller which was released during Sankranthi in Tamil and other parts is releasing in Telugu on the 25th of this month for Republic Day.
The film’s director Arun Matheswaran says he had this concept of Captain Miller 10 years ago and sent the synopsis to the producer in 2018, after making developments to the script.
“Dhanush loved the story and he gave in his best to portray the characters. The producers also backed us completely in making the movie on a large scale.”
The first impression after watching the trailer was that Captain Miller would be high on action. However, the director clarified that the action part will be only 40%.
“More than action, the movie will be high on emotions.”
He disclosed that Captain Miller is a story about the oppressed fighting for freedom.
“The story has universal appeal and it will appeal equally to the Telugu audience.”
Arun Matheswaran also expressed his happiness for Asian Cinemas and Suresh Productions backing the Telugu version.
