The sudden demise of filmmaker Sanjay Gadhvi earlier this morning came as a rude shock to the industry. The filmmaker had no health issues and was out on a morning walk in Lokhandwala when he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Casting director Kunal M Shah who had collaborated with Gadhvifor a project is in utter shock and can’t believe the news.”I am extremely shocked and in disbelief over the fact that he is gone. We did a film calledOperation Parindey which released just before the pandemic in February 2020. Ever since, we were talking of getting back together. Just a few months back, there was a conversation about doing a film together with an individual producer. Unfortunately he got busy with another commitment and we were to meet to discuss our other film anytime soon. But destiny had different plans,” he said to ETimes.
Sanjay Gadhvi had directed the blockbuster film Dhoom in 2004 and Dhoom 2 in 2006. He made his directorial debut with Tere Liye in 2000. Some of his known projects include films like Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Tere Liye, Kidnap, and Ajab Gazabb Love. He made his OTT debut in 2020 with Operation Parindey.
